Our Story

Founded by educators with decades of UK teaching experience, Mysiss International Schools brings world-class early education to Zimbabwe. We focus on cognitive, social, and physical growth using evidence-based frameworks like THRASS and Read Write Inc. Phonics. Our small-class approach ensures personalized attention, while seasoned teachers create a safe, stimulating environment.

Located in Malindela, we serve families in Khumalo, Parklands, Burnside, and Hillside, committed to developing confident, emotionally aware learners. By Grade 3, children master proficient English literacy, critical thinking, and collaborative skills, proof that our international-aligned methods deliver transformative outcomes for Zimbabwe’s next generation.

Our Approach

At Mysiss International Schools, learning is a multisensory journey. Our curriculum prioritizes proven methodologies: phonics builds literacy by age 5, while guided gardening and farm visits teach environmental stewardship. Physical development is scaffolded through fine/gross motor activitiesfrom pencil-grip exercises to swimming lessonsthat boost brain connectivity. Creative arts (music, drama) foster empathy and cognitive flexibility, and our Malindela campus’ indoor-outdoor flow lets Hillside and Parklands children learn through nature. Crucially, UK-trained teachers embed emotional intelligence into daily routines, helping students articulate feelings and resolve conflicts. This integrated approach, validated by 20+ years of UK pedagogy, ensures Mysiss graduates aren’t just academically prepared but resilient, innovative, and ethically grounded.

The Architects of Educational Change

Mysiss International Schools was born from Mr. and Mrs Sizibas’ 40-year educational journey across continents. After teaching in the UK for decades, they returned to Zimbabwe with a mission: to elevate local ECD standards through international best practices. Initially conducting seminars for Bulawayo schools, they soon realized hands-on impact was essential. In 2023, they established Mysiss, Malindela’s first phonics-focused international center, personally overseeing pedagogy, teacher training, and wellbeing protocols. Unlike distant franchise owners, the Siziba’s are deeply embedded. Their hands-on ethos extends to community partnerships. As Mrs. Siziba affirms: “We don’t just run a school; we build futures.” Today, their vision fuels Mysiss’ reputation as Bulawayo’s benchmark for holistic early education.
